If you’re aged 56 – 74 and registered with us, you will receive an NHS bowel cancer screening kit every two years.
The kit is a simple, non-invasive test which detects traces of blood in your poo. Blood can be a sign of polyps or bowel cancer. Polyps are growths in the bowel. They are not cancer, but they can turn into cancer over time.
If you have any symptoms of bowel cancer, make an appointment to see one of our GPs.
If you receive a kit in the post, put it by the loo. Don’t put it off.
