Viso (Hypertension+)

Viso (formerly Hypertension+) is a remote monitoring app to help keep track of your blood pressure. You can input your blood pressure directly into the app and this can be monitored by our clinicians, who can adjust your medication and treatment plans remotely, without the need for you to visit the Surgery.

Why do I Need to Monitor My Blood Pressure?

South Coast Medical Group are currently working to invite a lot more patients onto the Viso app. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will be invited onto the platform with a text message which allows you to accept or decline the invitation.

If you are visiting the Surgery for an appointment with a clinician such as a GP or a Nurse, they may also discuss the Viso app with you, if they think you would benefit.

You will be asked to sign in with your NHS Login. If you have trouble with this, please visit the Help Centre, here.

Requirements

  • A Smartphone: You will need an iPhone 6s or newer, running iOS 13.0 or newer; or an Android device running Android OS10 or newer
  • A Home Blood Pressure Monitor: If you do not have your own, they can be purchased here from the British Heart Foundation. There are also monitors in each of our waiting rooms which you can use.

After registering, you may see a screen asking you to wait for your GP to create a treatment plan for you. This is normal – it means you’ve registered successfully but need to wait for one of our clinicians to create your bespoke treatment plan. Once this has been completed, you will be granted full access within the app.

If you need any help with using the app, please contact your Surgery, and we will be able to help you. Please note that we cannot assist with NHS Login queries, you will need to speak to the team directly through the Help Centre.
